"stomach muscles" sounds strange

I usually take a DMM Eikaiwa lesson every morning. Today I learned these words below:

• sit-up
• push-up
• workout
• way to go (the teacher said he usually uses this)
• I am ready when you are
• and stomach muscles!

I thought stomach muscles meant muscles of a stomach itself :)
